The origin of the sake Kinryo dates back to the establishment of the brewery in Kotohira in 1789 following the start of brewing by the seventh Nishino Kaemon in Awa Shibo in 1779. Since then, the company has been developing brewing and wholesale businesses of all types of liquors and all types of food based at the entrance to the approach to Kompira Shrine together with the local community.
