Our company was established in 1658 in Awa Province (the current Tokushima Prefecture) as a dealer of the natural dye called ai. In 1779, the company opened a brewery, and later in the Showa era, the business expanded such that the company became a trade company handling precision chemicals, synthetic resins, and construction materials. Now, our company is unique in that we are not only a specialized trading company handling general chemical products, but we are also a brewer.
Chemicals advance together with each generation, and the trends change with every moment. One of our strengths is that we established a flexible system to correctly understand each trend and to offer optimum products to customers. While we respond to a wide variety of customer needs, the response to environmental issues has become a major challenge in recent years. Therefore, we handle such products as biomass material, which are produced with consideration of global environmental protection.
After more than 360 years since the establishment of the company, it is important to pass trust and the corporate value fostered by our predecessors on to the next generation in order for us to continue to grow into the future. For us as a trading company, people are the most precious asset. Therefore, we are willing to invest in human resources. In April 2022, the Performance Chemicals Division was organized through the integration of the Dye Division and Industrial Chemical Divisions, and we took a step toward the next stage.
